Ah how I love naive computer users who get Macs for fad reasons (just my opinion). Everybody forgets that windows still dominates the PC market quite comfortably and most developers will produce for windows before they begin for macs. There simply isn't a large enough market for developers to target in terms of creating mac programs. This may change, though I hope it doesn't. Anyone who read this thread I hope you take into account pragmatics rather than looks and design when buying a machine, especially for school since most additional educational software will always be for windows pcs and not always for macs. You can run what is called a virtual machine on a mac as well as most operating systems. The virtual machine allows you to run windows on your mac. This way is also safe cause it will prevent any malicious software from accessing your mac partitions and destroying anything that way.
