Samsung 906bw Driver For Mac
Hardware:: Samsung SyncMaster 906BW Menus Not Available Sep 25, 2009 When I press the 'menu' button on the bottom of my Samsung SyncMaster 906BW both the Picture (brightness and contrast) and Color (MagicColor, Color Tone, Color Control and Gamma) menus say 'not available' at the bottom and I am unable to access them. I tried installing MagicTune, but it is not compatible with the 906BW, so offer an alternative solution. The monitor is hooked up via DVI to a Mini-Display Port to DVI convertor to my MBP. ADVERTISEMENT Jun 21, 2007 So I bought a 19 inch Samsung Syncmaster 906BW to use with my Macbook after reading a lot of good reviews on it. When using this monitor on Windows it is nice, lots of screen real estate and good color. However when using it with the Mac I am unable to get it to look decent. At first it was incredibly bright, which was only amplified because I have a light background. I ran the Apple display calibrator and that fixed it somewhat, but it is still too bright.
There is also a noticeable difference in colors between the Macbook display and the Samsung display. The colors on the Samsung are very deep, but they're almost too deep that it is distracting. For example look at the record, it's a goldish color on the Macbook (which makes sense because it complements the lower stripe), but on the Samsung it's a bright green. Another thing to notice is the dock, the dock border is apparent on the Macbook screen but almost blends in on the Samsung. One last problem is that even with it on the max resolution (1440x900) I really don't gain any extra desktop space.
On Windows when altering the resolution there is an obvious increase in real estate, but with the Mac everything just seems to become disproportionately large. (For instance the top menu bar) Aug 1, 2009 I recently purchased a 2009 Mac Pro (ATI 4870) and am using it with the 22' Samsung SyncMaster2253LW monitor. I'm no monitor expert, but a lot of videos etc look highly pixelated etc.
The Desktop and everything else is fine. Most of the options aren't accessible esp the contrast. I have it connected via DVI and VGA:P Does DVI or VGA mark a major difference? I know the monitor is a bit old. It's dynamic contrast is 8000:1. Is it purely because of the monitor that the graphics look so cheap and pixelated?
Even the DVDRips look quite cheap. Do movie quality improve cause of the graphics card? Ofcourse on my compact 13' MB, DVDRips look brilliant. Should I get a better monitor? I feel my poor 4870 is feeling unused. Dec 31, 2010 macbook 2.16GHz OS X 10.4.11 I received a Samsung SyncMaster XL2270 as a gift. I would like to use it as a desktop monitor for my macbook when at home, but the driver included with the monitor is not mac compatible.
Dec 21, 2010 I have a G5 dual 2.0 with 2gigs RAM and I am trying to hook up a samsung with a VGA adapter but I only get black screen.i know the monitor works cuz it senses when cable is unplugged and monitor now is my 50' sony tv which also works via the same port DVI. ANy ideas as I am lost. Just bought this powermac to run Logic 7 soley on its own and THAT is a pain! I might just keep my macbook pro as the unit to run Logic 9 and use the power mac for everything else.
Sep 12, 2009 I'm looking calibrating my SyncMaster 206BW with my New UMBP. I realize that its going to be a little off because the screens are two different types. Oct 25, 2009 Thinking of getting one of these - Samsung syncmaster XL2370 23inch LED URL Any views/opinions?
May 30, 2010 At the moment I have a 24' iMac (early 2008 model) which has been a fantastic machine. But I would like to extend the screen size by plugging in either 1 or 2 extra monitors to spread my windows out. I'm a web designer now, doing things related to Wordpress, so it is useful to have all the applications open in front of me, without having to CMD + Tab between windows or use Spaces. I asked at a local Apple reseller some time ago what options were available for pluging in an additional monitor.
I was told it wasn't possible with the then newly launched Cinema display, but was told something might be possible using VGA and a third-party display. I'm now thinking again about extending my display space. I note Apple state the 24' cinema display is now iMac compatible and I've since found various video's on YouTube showing multi-monitor configurations with the iMac. I've seen a Samsung SyncMaster P2450H (or very similar) in person and thought the picture quality was excellent.
Online the SyncMaster P2450H picks up good reviews and is much cheaper than a Cinema display. So my questions are as follows:- 1) Would there be any compatiblity or other issues connecting the SyncMaster P2450H to an iMac? 2) What cables / adapters / splitters would be required for a single monitor or two monitor setup? If anyone's got any experience of the SyncMaster P2450H or can suggest something better, I'd be interested to know. Nov 27, 2009 I had two of these screens connected to my 2009 MacPro, one to the Ati 4870 and the other to GeForce GT120. I was using them both together mounthes and was happy with them until this morning, when I woke my computer from slee, I thought that my ther screen was sleeping or may be I had maximized a streaming youtube video while sleeping and it ended and it was the black screen I thought, so I pressed escape to get rid of full size mode but I noticed that the screen was working, but it was hardly noticeable, I mean, everything is all black as if the screen is turned off. I can very hardly see the wallpaper.
The Problem is that when I turn it on, the screen is as it should be for 1 second then goes back to like this, even when I click on settings of the screen from the side buttons, they are dark too but I arrived to check the settings and brightness and contrast are on maximum. And the problem is that I bought the screens when I was in France and now I am in italy, I dont know what to do. Aug 18, 2010 I'm looking to purchase an external monitor for my MacBook Pro. I'm thinking of the Samsung SyncMaster 2233sw.
It says I need a DVI 24 Pin cable to connect it to my MacBook Pro. Which one of these Cables do I need? May 28, 2012 I bought a Powermac G5 (april,2005) and a Samsung syncmaster S22A300B screen. When i connect the mac to the screen with a VGA cable all i get is a black screen, but somehow it recognizes that it is connected. When I connect the mac to the TV everything works just fine. What i can do?

I would like to use it as a desktop monitor for my macbook when at home, but the driver included with the monitor is not mac compatible. May 2, 2012 I Late 2008 Macbook Pro. My needs have shifted lately, as I am now using it mostly with an external display. I ran it into my 23(?) LG 1080 LED monitor with no problem.

I recently bought a Samsung 27' Syncmaster SA550 monitor. I am in love with it, however I cannot find a display size that fits the monitor. I am currently running the 1080p resolution setting on my computer but it is easily 2-3 inches too small. And with overscan its too big to see my menu bar and dock at all. Running at a 24-25' screen size is still much better than my 15 inch macbook pro screen, but it would be awesome to use all of the 27 inches of this monitor. I have been unable to find a working setting, if there is a trick, or a way to setup a custom size As well I am running this as the sole display (not dual screens) Info: MacBook Pro, iOS 5.1, External Display: Samsung SA550 Mar 9, 2008 how, no idea how it happened, but I got a weird voice that came on and drives me nuts by telling me each menu item the cursor passes over.
I have searched thru the manual and help and can only find information about voice recognition. How do I turn off the voice? Sep 21, 2009 When 10.5 was released they were quite transparent and the look matched the transparent menubar. It was a nice visual flow. Then 10.5.1 came out and they went to almost opaque (apparently they are still SLIGHTLY transparent but at something like 95% its more or less impossible to tell). Some apps, (compressor comes to mind) still have these transparent menu drop-downs and I think its a very good look, especially with the transparent menubar (again, visual flow is nice).
Mar 21, 2010 Every time a menu pops up asking me to choose yes or no, the mouse automatically moves to the yes like it's ready for me to click. I'm pretty sure I set it to do this a while ago, but I forgot how to change it back. It's late, I'm frustrated, and this is bothering me. A few searches didn't get me anywhere. Anyone know what I'm talking about and/or how to change it back? Apr 19, 2010 Normally hitting the 'Tab' key does the job but here, say I wanted to go to restart or cancel by using the kb.

Does anyone know that?; Dec 4, 2014 I am on OS Version 10.10.1 (14B25). Whenever I click on the green dot in the upper left corner of an open window, the window expands to take up the entire Desktop.
Even more bothersome, the window expands to the top of the frame, covering up the Finder menus. I need those menus. I have found by experimentation that waving the cursor around in the upper-left corner of the display can bring the Finder menus back into view. But that is only temporary. As soon as I move the cursor back to the content of the window, I lose the Finder menus again.
The only way I can get the Finder menus to remain visible is to close the window that I am working in. Doing so defeats the whole purpose in clicking the green dot. Is there some preference somewhere that I can use to turn off this annoying new feature of Yosemite? Info: Mac mini (Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) Dec 29, 2010 I have a 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 with dual Xeon 2.66GHz. One of my favorite apps on my Macs is iStat Menus for which I purchased a family pack. I am running latest version 3. However, when I added it to my Mac Pro I am getting goofy CPU temp readings.
At idle I am reading about 60C on one CPU and 55C on the other. But then if I fire up all the cores (Handbrake for example) then the reported CPU temps DROP to about 48C and 43C (notice same differential of 5C between CPUs). All the fan speeds stay the same so it is not extra cooling kicking in. Seems to be reading the wrong thing. I know with Intel that the CPU just reports the distance to Tjmax and then the software reading that number takes the TjMax reading for that particular CPU model and figures out the corresponding Tj. It almost seems to be what is happening is that iStat is reading the 'distance to TjMax' and reporting that without doing the math. That would account for the reading working backwards I suppose.
Aug 18, 2009 I have a.mov I want to burn to a dvd with no region code that will play in any player (im in the EU and want to send it to the US). I can't work out a way to do this in iDVD without having to use one of their crappy 'themes' which i really don't want to do. Sep 3, 2009 iStat Menus for Snow Leopard? Oct 25, 2009 Just a strange occurrence this evening: I just watched a DVD on superdrive: when it finished, I ejected it and glanced at my Finder menu bar. IStat Menus gave me a temp of 135 and rising (went as high as 140 degrees a few minutes after ejecting and shutting down DVD Player).
But the fans aren't on at all-never came on, as far as I can tell-and the MBA feels cool to the touch. Now it's maybe 20 minutes later and iStat reads temps as still at 115 degrees. But my laptop feels totally cool to the touch. I restarted, hoping to reset iStat, but no change. Any idea as to what's going on?
Apr 28, 2010 was surprised to see iStat menus is now a paid app. So if I update, I'll have to buy it. Its a nice app, but I'm not sure if its needed, even if its only 10 bucks. Anyone else care to chime in on this? Don't get me wrong, if I like an application, I'll buy it. I've purchased delta walker (compare utility) and will be upgrading my transmit to version 4. Its just this type of eye candy - is it worth 10 bucks (that's the discounted price, it will go up) Jul 15, 2010 I think I must be tho only person that liked the transparent menus we had in 10.5.1.

I cannot find anything to re enable them now, and it is a shame, because I thought they were pretty ^^ Sep 14, 2009 But only some of them! File/Edit/View Go/Tools/Bookmarks are still white.
All other apps are running normally. This is on my MacMini still running 10.5.8 Feb 6, 2012 Why do random menus keep popping up and what can I do to prevent them from doing it? Info:iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1) Apr 10, 2012 Ever since I upgraded, I've been having problems with menus freezing and becoming unclickable. For example, I have both Safari and Firefox open, and can't click on the menu bar for either of them.I have to close the program and restart. This happens with other apps, too.THe window itself works, just the menu bar. Also, my apps are suddenly opening the last used document whenever I open the, whether I want that one or not.Any way to turn that off? Info: Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6), iPhone 3GS; iPad Apr 27, 2012 My Mouse always provides drop down menus rather than just clicking on what I need to open Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11) Jun 24, 2012 I'd like to rip my DVDs each to a single file I can import into iTunes so I can play them on my various Apple devices and not lose quality, extras, menus or surround sound (5.1 or 7.1) done with an Apple program.
I see many ripping applications online that are Windows based. I want to have the same features and quality available on the one file as I would if I were playing the DVD on my DVD player.I have an AppleTV2 (plugged into a 55' LED TV), iPad1 and iPhone4.I'm also on Lion 10.7.4 now.Is there such a Mac application that can do all this?
